Humanitarian trip August 2024

After collecting medical supplies - with wonderful help from collegue-organisations - the van was fully loaded again. On the 26th of July in the evening the 7th trip of Foundation Life Guardians started. The van is also used by other organizations and volunteers, so for the van is was trip no. 17.

With a full load of medical supplies and fishing nets on the way to Ukraine

The Polish border guards were being very unfriendly, bordering to being hostile towards us. After refusing us twice to cross the border, the third attempt was successful. It had cost a lot of extra time. Sunday night we arrived in Kyïv.

The fishing nets were delivered in Kyïv and the medical supplies in Vinnytsia. The rest of the trip consisted of visiting contacts and friends.

In Chernihiv I met with new contacts for the first time in real life. They showed me around the city and explained what happened where, when the ruzzians attacked. A very impressive visit.
